Cut Throat Club are a group of med-school drop-outs and surgeons who are disillusioned with the medical profession and the lack of experimentation within the national heath service. These renegade medics have created an underground practise, triggering a controversial movement in questionable surgical acts.

This new club offers its clientele an opportunity to be diagnosed and treated in a way that refuses to conform. Be part of the dissident scalpel action or just enjoy the combination of live grime rock cabaret, sleazy rock n roll and of course surgical theatrics.

Born about two years ago, in a drunken succession of “yes I can do that” type conversations, Ameena Kara Callender collided with The Eighties matchbox B-line Disaster to host the first major Yoni project directing three theatrically styled events for the promotion of their second album. Fast forward to a meeting of minds with the collaboration on One Night Stand for Lovebox Weekender, where Judy Jacob joined as lighting Designer – this soon developed into operations manager and core creative. They have since gone on to work with a number of talented collaborators on a number of successful productions.

Ameena Kara Callender - Yoni Bovine

Graduating from Brighton University (Nagoya University, Japan) in 3D Design, Her specialist areas include, production design, styling fashion and costume making.

Judy Jacob - Yoni Equine

Graduating from Central Saint Martins in design for performance her specialist area is site specific work, and lighting and video design/direction.

Noise Festival as part of the Liverpool Biennial in conjunction with the BBC - exhibition Co-curation, pre-visualisation and spatial design, event organising and promotional styling.
